  1. The townland in which I live is called Eskivaude. It is situated in the Parish of Allihies and the barony of Castletownbere. The reason why it was called Eskivaude is because it was there the first boat in Reentrisk was built. There were eight houses there long ago and there are only five houses in it now. The houses that were there were thatched houses. The Sullivans are more numerous than the Harringtons. There are only two people who can speak Irish. There is only one woman who is getting the pension her name is Mrs
