  1. There is a lios in the townland of Coomeen. It is a round small rock. There is not any hole in the rock. The Danes had not anything to do with this lios. When people used be milking they heard the fairies crying. There are many stories told about it. Long ago a woman was spreading seaweeds in a field near the lios. She was hit with a sod.
