He was got by a man and brought to a house in Clooncagh where he died after a few hours. By morning the place was covered with soldiers wanting the dead body By great risk the Irish brought the body to Mearin They buried it there First they cut the sods and withered them for the English soldiers were madly tearing around looking for a fresh grave.
