    The singing of the wran goes back for years. In the song the wren is styled the King of all birds twas that he gained his title.
    The wren the wren the King of all birds.
    St Stephens day he was caught in the furze.
    Although he is little his family is great.
    Get up old lady and fill us a treat.
    And if you fill it of the small.
    It won't agree with the wren at all.
    Long ago there was a challenge to see which bird would soar the highest, well his Kingship fixed himself on the eagle's back and when the eagle in joyful voice cried out he was highest the wren spoke on his back above him and thus won the event and from that day to this he is King of all birds.
    To tell the way wran money as it was called was spent
