When John came home from America the second time people asked him if he had a lot of money, but the answer was "A rolling stone gathers no moss".
When a man had work to do something always made him put it off. One day he had to go to a wedding. The next day he was tired. The day after was a holiday. John did not like working on holidays. Its just one day more said he. The next day his horse was sick in the stable and his ploughing went without doing. Hence the saying, Never put off until tomorrow what you can do to day.
- In my district there are a lot of old sayings or proverbs. This is one, there was a man there long ago and he was going to sow his oats but there was one of his friends getting married. He put it off until the next day and he went to the wedding. The following day was(continues on next page)
