The reason this field was called the Ram's field because there were two rams killed there. These two rams were fighting and the old ram had to bend his head to fight and he broke his neck. There is also a hill in the townland of Lisbealad called hacklers hill. In olden times all the people use to hackle their flax there. All the people used to grow flax a good deal long ago. This field belongs to a man named Thomas Bryan. This man has also a field called the coulagh field. The reason the field was called the coulagh field because there was an old house in that place. The walls of this old house can be seen yet. This field is not far from where I live.
