- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)One of the oldest of its inhabitants is:
Miss Margaret Driscoll,
Butlersgilt,
Drimoleague,
Co. Cork.
She is now about eighty years of age. She is almost blind but can walk around as she is used to the place. She lives near the village and a large field surrounds her house. She has two relations living with he and they take care of the place.
In this townland there are no signs of old ruins of houses. All the housed are newly made and slated and there are no thatched houses amongst them. - The following are some of the proverbs that I heard from time to time and which were related to me by people of the locality:-
1. After a storm comes a calm.
2. A shut mouth catches no flies.
3. All that glitters is not gold.
4. Always look before you leap.
5. A burned cat dreads the fire.
6. A rolling stone gathers no moss.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
