  1. Once upon a time there was a wild young fellow whose name was Jack. He was very fond of card playing. One day he went to a lough and brought a pack of cards with him. He started playing cards on a big flag, beside the lough - one hand against the other.
    Soon after a little man named Danny came in a boat and Jack asked him to play a game of cards. He replied "I will play on one condition". "What is that" said Jack. "Well" said Danny. "If you win the game I'll give you a castle with a room full of gold and if I win you must do everything I tell you." "All right" said Jack. They played a game and Jack won. Danny brought him over the lake to the castle and left Jack at the door. Danny sailed off in his boat and Jack turned to see him off. When he looked again the castle was gone from sight.
    Jack shouted after Danny and said the castle was gone. Danny said "You didn't ask me how long was I going to leave it to you. So we must play again", They did so and
