    Clothes made locally
The nearest Tailor to my village that makes clothes is Tailor Naughton. He lives about one mile from us and some people get clothes made with him.
He makes suits for men and coats for women. Before he makes anything for anybody the person has to buy the material for him and thread, lining and buttons. The implements he wants for sewing are, a sewing machine a needle and thread for tacking the thing first, and a thimble.
He is the only tailor but there is a dressmaker near us named Miss Doherty.
There is no linen made or flax grown in my village, but last year there were spinning classes in the schools to revive the old spinning. There is not much knitting in my district. There is no knitting of stockings
