    It is said that the faries lived in these forts and on this account the owners of the land where the were seldom interfered with them when ploughing or digging up the land.
    There are plenty of old stories connected with these forts but whither they are true or not is not known.
    Lights were often seen in these forts and the sound of music was often heard inside in them by people returning from rambling at night.
