  1. Funny Story
    "There was a man be the name of Billy Lowry (pronounced "Lowry") in this townland about 70 years ago and he had a son Mairtin Billy was a baingreabae Fir for many a long day as the wife died soon after the maireen was born. 'Tis n't but Billy reared the lad well and could make an oat cake or boxty as good as any woman in the village and no one ever saw the father or son without a clean shirt.
    They were not too well off, but who was at the time, but Billy always had his packs of oatmeal in the corner home from the Mill November night and they reaching to the roof. He's be the proud man then and say
