A man was on the run once. He was going to be hanged if caught, and the soldiers were after him. He passed by a man harrowing oats. The soldiers came along, and they asked the man who was harrowing if he saw anyone passing. The man did not answer. The clock put up his head and said "Nay corraway." The dhardhaoil put up his head and said ? (Words forgotten by the teller of story)
