Story (ar lean)
“Once upon a time there lived in Killaraght, Co Sligo, a named Michael Dwyer.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)the shoemaker, "I dreamt that if I went to Killaraght, Co. Sligo, I should find in a field there, the property of Michael Dwyar, a crock of gold, under a tree near the house."
The man hurried back home as quickly as he could. When he reached home he got a spade and dug under the tree nearest his house. He came on a large pot, covered with a flat stone. He took the stone and the gold to the house. The stone on it a lot of Irish writing. Michael did not know Irish. Some time afterwards a poor scholar was going the way. Michael showed him the stone. The scholar told him the Irish words meant: "The same the other side." When the scholar had gone, Michael went and dug under the other side of the tree. He found a crock of gold much larger than the first. He(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
