- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)For, were I this day on the field of battle, ["I" crossed out] for Ireland's freedom my blood I'd give.
For death is better than life in fetter, when foreign rulers do it command,
For Our Blessed Redeemer, He will receive all who die for God and their native land.
On history's pages, in future ages, I hope that our names will forever shine.
Let it be a password for ever in Ireland: "Remember Allen, Larkin and O'Brien".
IV
Again spoke Allen: "It is quite useless for Irishmen to expect justice here,
So now, My Lord, for your awful sentence the very moment we are prepared."
So they kissed and parted, and prayed for Ireland, and prayed to God for their enemy,
Three moments more saw them lifeless corpses, for ever launched in eternity.
I hope my parents wont once bewail me, the cause so noble for which I die,
I die a martyr, for God and country, farewell, old Ireland, I'll bid goodbye.

That twenty-third day of November brought a scene of gladness to England all,
To see three martyrs lain on the scaffold,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
