- Our parish contains a holy well named Kilgorey, and its townland is known as Brettyard. The field is owned by a man named o neill. It is a custom for people to visit this well usually on Sundays in the month of May.
Rounds are not performed there but private prayers are said.
Saint Lí-Gorie was the Saint connected with the well.
People have been cured at the well, a cripple that came from near Castlecomer was cured and left her crutches as a relic behind her.
This well is not recommended for the cure of any certain disease. It will cure disease in general if the person has the right conditions of faith.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
