  1. There are three holy wells in the parish of Raheen. St. Fintan's well is the most important. It is situated in Cromogue and is very near the old grave-yard. It is a very large well and has a big stream running from it. The water is very good in it and even during the warmest weather the water is as cold as ice.
    The well is square in shape and is surrounded by a small wall but there is an opening at one end for people to go in and get some of the water. People visit the well on the fifteenth of August and also on the twenty ninth of June and pray at it.
    The well was not always in Cromogue. At first there was only a holy well in Clonenagh and St. Fintan decided to make another well, and Cromogue was the
