  1. These games used also to be played at wakes long ago. A number of boys (boys used to attend wakes at this time) or men sat round in a circle. One of these was the leader called My Man John. The others got the titles White cap, Black cap, Blue cap and so on.My Man John then started the game by saying "The Priest of the Parish lost his considering cap some say this,some say that, but i say Black cap one,two,three"
    Black cap; me sir
    M,M,J; Yes you sir
    B,C ; You lie sir
    M,M,J ; Who then sir
    B,C ; Blue cap one two three.
    Then Blue cap and Black cap carry on the conversation and so the game is continued.
