Beside the townland of Tinnahinch there is a townland called Rathcoffey, The townland got its name from an old Rath which is situated in the land of Rathcoffey, A man named Mr,Coffey owned the land then. The Rath is called the Fairy Hill or the Raheen Hill. There is a large flat stone at this fort or rath. There are many queer x's cut out on this stone, There are also the words "Red Cure" and "Red Hugh", and the date sixteen hundred and eleven. It is said that the fairies inhabited the fort long ago and it is also that pagans were buried on the top of the hill. There are underground tunnels from the fort to various houses
