- The way in which my granny makes Griddle Cake is :- She mixes flour,a grain of salt, and soda together. Then she wets these with buttermilk, and makes it into a dough which has to be kneaded. A cross is not put on top of it.
The cross is put on the cake in order to help it to rise, and when a cake that is made in a baker(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
