    There is a rath in Mr. Boland's field. This field is situated in Kildangan and long ago it is said there were fairies living there.
    Near the same fort or rath there dwelled a very poor family long ago. They had hardly any food and neither the father nor the sons could get any work.
    One morning however, a fairy appeared at the door with a basket of food and gave it to the woman of the house. She told her to come over to the rath when all the food was eaten and that she would give her more. She also told her that her husband and sons would soon get work.
    When all the food was eaten the woman set off to the rath with her empty basket and the fairy met her outside and put a bowl of porridge and a jar of milk and told her that if her husband went to look for work that day he would get it. The woman returned home and her husband and sons got work that day. They were never poor again and there is nothing left now of their house except ruins.
    Another story tells of a man who had a hump on his back. One night he was returning home past the rath and hearing music within he
