Porthra is the name of a place near Clonbrin. The land is supposed to be very wet and swampy.
Rath Dub. is a placein Clonbrin. "Rath Dub" means B lack Rath.
Roilgín Bush is on the road to Monasterevan. It is said that there is a warrior buried under a bush.
Shanavoola is about four or five miles outside Rathangan. In the summer evenings the cows were driven into a place enclosed by four walls, to be milked. The townsland has since been called Shanavoola or the "old milking place".
