Another end of this field is called "Marla Táiliúir". It is said that a tailor lived there who owned an acre of land.
Philibeen is a field on Mrs. Mackconity's farm. It is at the bottom of the farm near the river.
Porthra is the name of a place near Clonbrin. The land is supposed to be very wet and swampy.
Rath Dub. is a placein Clonbrin. "Rath Dub" means B lack Rath.
Roilgín Bush is on the road to Monasterevan. It is said that there is a warrior buried under a bush.
Shanavoola is about four or five miles outside Rathangan. In the summer evenings the cows were driven into a place enclosed by four walls, to be milked. The townsland has since been called Shanavoola or the "old milking place".
Sean Roilig means "old graveyard". It is situated in Mount Prospect. Unbaptised children are buried there.
