- It is said that once when the Irish soldiers were fighting against the English that they were defeated and driven to the top of Knockaulin Hill. The English soldiers surrounded the hill and tried to starve the Irish soldiers. The Irish seeing no other way to escape(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
