  1. Long ago people used to be twenty years of age before they wore boots. In the summer they wore no boots at all. On Sundays they would carry their boots to the chapel and put them on when they were going in. On their way home they would take them off again.
    When they were finished with the water after washing their feet they would keep it until the end of the week. They would wash their feet every night and the same water would do for a week.
