  1. Long ago the people used to eat oaten bread made on a griddle. They used very little tea, they drank mostly all buttermilk and new milk. They used to have oaten stirabout for breakfast. For dinner they had potatoes and bacon and buttermilk. They did not eat food late at night.
    They had tea and fresh meat on Sundays Long ago the people worked before breakfast. They had pewter dishes and delph mugs.
