- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)the ship collided with an iceberg in mid-ocean. Almost everybody was drowned including very valuable articles. The company who owned the ship wrote on the sides of it "To hell with the Pople" The name now given to her is the "Ill fated Titanic." 1n 1918 the "Lady Leinster" an Irish-made boat was sunk by a German submarine leaving Dun Laoghaire on her way to Holyhead. There were only a few people saved.
In 1934 Mr. Downey, a rate collector, from Roberstown fell into the canal accidentally and was drowned. Later his body was found floating on the top of the canal.
In the year 1834 the house of Parliament, Dublin was burnt to the ground. Saint Patrick's Cathedral was burnt in the year 1362.- Bailitheoir
