The distant hills are looking nigh,
How restless are the snorting swine,
The busy fly disturbs the kine,
Low o'er the grass the swallows wing.
The cricket too, how sharp he sings.
My dog so has altered in his taste,
From mutton bones on grass to feast.
The frog has changed his yellow vest,
And in a russet coat is dressed.
Hark, how the chairs and tables crack.
Old Betty's joints are on the rack.
It will surely rain I say with sorrow.
Our jaunt must be put off until to-morrow.

If, at night , one sees a ring around the moon he may be sure that it is going to rain in the near future. A rainbow in the morning foretells rain and a rainbow in the evening foretells fine weather.
