  1. A preventative of whooping cough(known locally as the chin cough). Give a child milk to drink which a ferret has tasted and has drunk part of.
Tried and proved. Two children once drank milk from which a ferret had supped and did not catch this disease even after sleeping with a patient who was suffering from it, the other child did not drink the milk and developed it.
Boil the leaves of the herb "Rose Noble" and drink this tea. Excellent as a blood purifier in Spring.
