Ar an leathanach seo

  1. People in former days used to go in their bare-feet until they would be four or five years of age. Some people never wore boots or shoes in their lives. The children now-a-days gets shoes when they are little babies. Most of the school-children at present go in their bare-feet in the summer and sometimes until September.
Boots and shoes are made and repaired in our district. Mr. Roche makes them. His father was a shoemaker also for a long long time. Clogs are wore now by some people. People makes them now-a-days in Carlow. People used to throw the water used for washing the feet under a hawthorn bush. It is said that it stops the root from spreading.
