- Potatoes are grown on our farm every year. We spread manure or lime on the ground before we plough the ground for the potatoes. Farmers usually plough the best ground on their farm for the potatoes.
When people are cutting seed they leave an eye on each piece of the potato. Potatoes do not grow so well in a wet field unless there is manure spread on it. Farmers in this locality sow from a half an acre to three acres every year.
