    Once upon a time there was a man and his wife living in an old house by the side of a hill. The husband was working with a farmer but this morning when he was out working in the field a poor old woman came in to the woman of the house.

The husband was working with a farmer but this morning when he was out working in the field a poor old woman came in to the woman of the house. She asked her for a cup of tea and when she had it drunk she told the woman of the house that there was a pot of gold under a tree behind the house. When the man of the house came home the woman told her what the little woman had said He said that he would stay at home to morrow and dig under the tree. When morning came he got up and went out to the tree behind the house and started to dig until he came to a big flag and he could not lift it. He got his neighbours
