middle of June, she "changes her tune". She flies away in August. The Cuckoo is a grey bird with brown spots on her breast. Sometimes we see a small bird, which is called the Riabhóg, following the Cuckoo.

  2. The Starling has a very sweet voice. She is like the Blackbird but if you are up near her, there is a big difference between them. The colour of her feathers is light blue & each feather is brown on the top. Starlings live in flocks. They fly differently from the Blackbird. The Starling walks, but nearly all other birds hop. She builds her nest under roofs of houses & in holes in walls. She uses withered weeds & hay to build. The colour of her eggs is white & she stays three weeks on them. When the young hatch out, she goes looking for food which consists of worms & ivy berries. She goes away for the summer & comes back for the winter.
