    At one time the Danes lived in Castlehale. They had a lot of gold and they didn't know what to do with it so they thought best to bury it. They had a servant and they brought her and showed her where they had the gold hidden and they asked her if she would mind it dead or alive and she said she would and at that minute they shot her. Ever since she has to mind the gold.
    This gold is said to be for a family by the name of Walsh. A man of that name dreamt that the gold was there for him. He went there and began to dig. After digging for some time he came on a big flag and he said to himself "Begorra I have my fortune at last". But when he went to rise the flag he heard the roaring of a bull and he ran away with his life. It is said that a life must be lost getting the gold.
