    To patronise the cricket dance
    With friends from near and far.

    The room was lent for this event, the truth to you I tell,
    By the sporting Kate O'Grady from the well known Lamp Hotel,
    Right well 'twas decorated with wax upon the floor,
    And the laurels that hung 'oer our heads were plucked beside the Nore.
    Written by Patrick O'Connor Jerpoint 1913 in honour of the Cricket dance held in the Lamp Hotel Stoneyford.
