    "Hallowe'en". The people eat nuts and apples that day and play games.
    "New Year's Eve". Bells are rung to welcome the New Year in.
    "New Year's Day". When people meet on that day one says to the other "I wish you a happy New Year".
    St Patrick's Day. The people wear Shamrock on that day. Shamrock is sent to England and America in time for St Patrick's Day. Céilees are held on that night and songs about Ireland are sung. The children wear Harps on that Day.
    "Shrove Tuesday" People make pancakes on that evening and eat them. A ring is put into one of them and the person that gets the ring will be the first to marry.
    "Ash Wednesday". People go the chapel and get the blessed ashes on their foreheads. The Priest puts it on for them.
    "Holy Thursday". People visit the chapel three times a day and say prayers.
    Good Friday people go and adore the Crucifix
