Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The ancient townland of Kilcurl lies to the west of the village of Ballyhale in the parish of Ballyhale and County of Kilkenny.
    It consists of the district known commonly as Kilcurl a farm which up to recently was owned by people named Scurry who have now all died out. This farm was called Black ditches and another farm (Brophys) sometimes called Black ditches and sometimes Dogstown. A part of Holohans farm (now Brennans) called Anglesey is also included in the townland. In Kilcurl proper there are now only three farm houses and one cottage. From one of these farms came the leader of the farmers at the "tithe Battle in Carrickshock" This was Jimmy Treacy who tried to induce FitzGibbon to withdraw
