Long ago three meals used to be eaten - the breakfast dinner and supper. The women used to remain up all night to call the men in time to go for lime. All oatmeal cakes used to be eaten. In Lent they used to boil turnips and throw oatmeal on them and eat it. The people worked two and a half hours before breakfast. On Easter Sunday and Christmas Day they ate white bread and they drank tea. When they finished eating they hung the table on the wall. When they were thirsty they made a drink of oatmeal and they called it práipín.
