- The name of my townsland is Ballyveria situated in the parish of Glenmore in the Barony of Ida. There are eight houses in it with a population of thirty. Long ago it was a lot more thickly populated townsland, the ruins of six more houses are still to be seen in it. The names of the families that lived in them were Doherty, Norris, Grant, Grace, Ribby. There is another old house in the townsland and three or four different families lived in it.
