  1. A Porkun - is made from alder. Get a piece of alder without a "knot" and bore a hole through it from end to end Then get two small corks and a stick about one inch longer that the alder. Put a cork in both ends of the hole, and force one against the other by the means of the stick which is called a ram rod.
    A reed - Get a straw three or four inches long with a "knot" on one end of it. Cut a slit about one inch long to the "knot" so that the slit will rise when blown through it. If is does it will make a queer noise
    A Buzzer - Get a piece of timber four inches long and bore two holes in the
