- Once there were seven children born to a poor man and woman at one birth. The man did not know what to do because he had a large family already and thought he would not be able to support them all. He put the seven babies into a basket and brought them to a nearby stream to drown them. On his way he was met by a priest who asked him through curiosity what he had in the basket. The man said it was only a few pups which he was going to drown in the stream. The priest asked him to show them to him that he might choose one for himself. The man opened the basket and told the priest his story. Without a word the priest took the seven babies home to his house. He kept one himself and distributed the other six to six other priests. The seven grew up to be very tall men all about six feet high. In the course of time they became seven priests and later on they were consecrated Bishops.
After some years they came to Ireland. They sailed by Waterford and night coming on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
