- There lived in Co. Waterford long years ago a protestant name named Lord Beresford. He was very found of following the hunt. One day he was journeying in his coach with all his staff to the meeting-place of the hunt. On his way to the meet he met a priest. When the priest was passing the coach, he had a narrow escape because the wheel was only two foot from the ditch. The priest was on horse-back. When he came to Piltown village some of the people congratulated him on his narrow escape but the priest said that he would have room enough before evening. That day Lord Beresford was jumping what he thought was a wall but it was into a quarry he was jumping. At that moment the priests words came through.
