- In the townsland of Tubrid which is quite convenient to this school there are the remains of an old church and a cemetery. Very little of the church remains, but a portion of the northern wall and part of the Sanctuary are still to be seen. The cemetery is surrounded by a stone wall. It is covered with grass and weeds. There is one monument, which was erected to the memory of a man who name was Wuggan, and it is dated 1852. The old cemetery is near the road, but there is no road leading from the main road to it. There were several large trees around it but they have been cut down leaving the place bare. The cemetery is not used as a burial ground now as there is another cemetery in the next village.
