    Schools had not to pay any money, but instead, each pupil had to bring two sods of turf, every morning for the heating of the school. Also the one set of books did the hole family, because the books in each class were never changed.
    There was another school where the Parish Church is now. The teachers were Mr. and Mrs, McGuire.
