Ar an leathanach seo
- There is an old custom in the district of Nurney, Co. Kildare, which has been observed for many years & indeed is still carried on.
When a fox is shot or found dead by any person in that district, it is the custom to hang him by the tail from the branch of a tree. He is allowed to remain there until he rots. Then he is taken down & his point tooth is then removed & made into a tie-pin. A cub's tooth is the best for the purpose, because it is usually sound and unbroken.- Bailitheoir
