    After the Insurrection of 1798 the Kildare men after their de-feat made terms with the English.

    After the Insurrection of 1798 the Kildare men after their defeat made terms with the English. They assembled at the Curragh to lay down their arms. After leaving them down the English brutally fell on the rebels. Hardly any of them escaped.
