    "The lore of certain Days"
    It is said that if you cry on St. Stephen's day you will cry every day during the year. If you sweep the dust out the door on a Monday you are sweeping out your luck. If you bite your fingers on a Tuesday you will get money. If you turn the mattress on your bed on a Friday it is said to be very unlucky.
    The "Cross-day of the Year" is said to be Friday. Years ago people would not comb their hair on on a Friday. They said that it would keep them from getting headaches.
