  1. The Abbey is a very large residence situated on the RIver Liffey, 2 miles from the city of Dublin. There are many residence around Celbridge but the Abbey is the most historic one.
    It is the residence of Vennessa Vonbhombret, Dean Swift used to ride out from Dublin on horseback every night to visit Vennessa.
    One evening Dean went down and sat by the River, while there he wrote "Drapier Letters".
