    killed. They went home and refused to continue the work. When the crowbar was thrown, two bullocks that were grazing near the fort, ran down the hill to the bottom landing in a deep drain. Later on the two animals were found there dead.
    The neighbours, when they heard what had happened, felt sure there were fairies living at the forts and not one of them would go near the place after dark.
