    A Local Hero.
    About twelve years ago,a man whose name was Mick Connolly lived at Clontibret.Every year he would walk to Lough Derg.He also walked to fairs,which were many miles away.

    A Local Hero.
    My grandfather,John James Mc Mahon,was a champion athlete and also a champion weight-thrower.He took first prize at all competitions as a long-distance runner,a high-jumper,a long-jumper and weight-thrower.There are seven of the prizes which he won,still in our house.
