- To cure measles - Boil "blayberry" roots and nettle roots together. Put sugar and sweetmilk on it and drink it hot.
To cure heart-failure - Gather clean Dandelion leaves, press them and leave steeping in water for several days. Then strain off the juice, and take a large spoonful of it three times each day.
To cure a bad cold - Stew the berries of the Mulberry bush, strain, and drink the juice
To cure Kidney disease - Boil "bogbeans" for two hours, strain and then add a little whiskey to it.
To cure jaundice - Boil the roots of the Dicken-plant in sweet milk, and drink it hot.
To cure aboil - There are a different cure on each side of the ivy leaf. One side is put to the boil for drawing it, and the other side for healing it.
To cure chilblains - Rub raw onions on them and drink an egg-cup full of lime(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
