- Saint Connell built a church in Rosconnell he gave his name to that place. He was a deciple of Saint Kierans. Some people that Rosconnell is as old or even older. Donoughmore is one of the seven churches built by Saint Patrick. Lady well is connected with Rosconnell, and Rosconnell is suposed to be conected to a monastery in Ballinakill by a tunnell.
- There is an old ruins of a church in Russelstown. The saints name that built it was Saint Finian. There is a well and a graveyard in it
